FAMILIES enjoyed a fun day in Daisy Bank gardens, Stroud on Saturday, with the return of Daisy Day.

The event was a fundraiser for new equipment for the park.

Entertainment included a stage with live music and DJs, a children's area, with face painting and henna tattoos, crafts, food and drink, an inflatable gladiator challenge, and a Hedgehog Republic information stall.

Hana Gill, vice chair of the Friends of Daisy Bank said: “It’s always lovely to see so many people come and enjoy the park."

The Friends of Daisy Bank group, who meet to maintain the park between Horns Road and Bisley Road, have managed to raise £1,901.26 so far this year.

And over the past year, the group successfully raised funds for an outdoor table tennis table, which was installed two weeks ago and was officially launched at Saturday's event.

Stroud Town Council met the costs of installing the table, and contributed towards the fun day too.
