TWO members of Stonehouse methodist church will be dressing up at superheroes for a sponsored walk along the canal.

Sue Peat, the methodist deacon in Stonehouse, along with Sue Alexander, one of the members of the methodist church, will be walking along the canal between Stonehouse and Stroud and back again.

The walk is taking place on Saturday, July 13, starting from the church at 10am.

The pair are aiming to raise money towards a new community kitchen at the methodist church, which is located on the Park Estate.

“We have raised over £300 in sponsorship so far and we need to raise a total of £2,500,” said Sue.

“There are many and varied community groups which use the church premises, and it is hoped the new kitchen will enhance the opportunities for the church to engage even more with residents.”

“If people would like to make a donation, they can send a cheque made payable to: Stonehouse Methodist Church, to the church at Park Road, Stonehouse, GL10 2DW. Please include your name and address so we can thank you and acknowledge your donation.”
