ONE person had to be taken to hospital after a three-car crash on the A303.
The incident, which closed the eastbound carriageway of the major road for more than three hours, saw police, ambulance, and fire crews attend the scene near Yarnbury Castle. Wiltshire Police says a Ford Fiesta, VW Golf, and an unspecified Nissan were involved.
It is not known what injuries the person sustained, but they're not thought to be severe.
An spokesperson from the South Western Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 13:21 to reports of a road traffic collision, reportedly involving three cars.
"We attended with two ambulances, an operations officer and a critical care team.
"One patient was taken to hospital for further treatment."
As reported, following the incident, police officers called on the public to "avoid the area".
