Work is to start on altering the Pitchcombe Junction in September.
I have looked again at the plan to remind myself what an appalling mistake Highways is making.
Traffic from Gloucester, and Pitchcombe via Halfway Pitch wishing to turn towards Stroud now has to negotiate two lanes of speeding traffic and a right turn lane on the A46.
Pedestrians will also have even more trouble crossing the road. I have suggested a gyratory system to calm the traffic and make it fairer and safer for all traffic but Highways make some feeble excuse about the levels and the cost.
My plan would just need a new island and a change of road markings, the existing plan is going to take over four months to complete.
I hope someone in authority sees this and gets the proposed plan changed.
