A Wickwar teenager that was caught with a knife and cannabis in public has avoided prison.
Jack Knowler, 19 of Cotswold View, Wickwar pleaded guilty to being in possession of a kitchen knife in Halton Way, Kingsway on March 22.
He also admitted being in possession of cannabis on the same day.
He pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on July 11.
Knowler was handed an 8-week jail term, suspended for a year and he was also placed on a supervision list for the next year.
He was also given a six week curfew from 11pm-5am each day.
The knife was confiscated from him and he was ordered to pay a fine of £213, costs of £85 and a surcharge of £115 - a total of £413.
