A RARE albino hedgehog has been released back into the wild after being discovered in a ditch.
Albus was found with severe flystrike and dehydration alongside another hedgehog of the usual brown colour by Wild Hogs Hedgehog Rescue centre in Framption-on-Severn.
He was treated by the rescue centre, and volunteers made the location he was found in safer by building an escape ramp.
They have recently set up a project named Hedgheog Republic, aimed to encourage schoolchildren to learn about and encourage others to make their environment more wildlife-friendly.
Wild Hogs are holding an open day at their rescue centre in Frampton-on-Severn, on Saturday, August 10 from 11am.
