CIRENCESTER Signpost held its annual summer day trip with a visit to Weston-Super-Mare on Saturday, July 13.

The trip proved very popular with 140 people enjoying the day at the seaside with many families enjoying the beach and the pier.

Chairman Graham Harris said: "We chose the seaside as it offers something for everyone as the age range at our charity is so diverse.

"It was a joy to see all the happy faces.

"We are acutely aware that financial challenges and a lack of access to transport means that a day out to the seaside is beyond the means for many in our town.

"I want to thank all those who financially support us making this day special."

The charity reaches out to all in the community, coming alongside those for whom life may present challenges such as debt, unemployment and loneliness and journeying with them to a brighter future.
