Painswick is known as the 'Queen of the Cotswolds' and in the parish church visitors book, someone has written 'Trump 2020'.
How odd I thought as I wondered through the Yew trees into the little tourist information hut in the churchyard.
"A man just like Boris Johnson has been in here," said the volunteer behind the desk.
"He was showing off his knowledge of Roman numerals."
"Well, he is in Cheltenham today (Friday, July 12)," a passing chap informed us.
We are told he has the premiership sown up and in the bag, so is he out campaigning for Trump's re-election?
