Sam Pride, 32, director of Nailsworth-based recruitment company Laenus, is organising Amberley’s inaugural Black Horse Beer Festival on September 7 in aid of charity.
“All are welcome to our festival and family fun day with all proceeds going to the Royal British Legion to support the vital work it does for our veterans,” says Sam who is being helped by a loyal team of volunteers.
As for the beers, Sam is talking to a number of local breweries and businesses that are either donating barrels or sponsoring them.
Sam's efforts are being supported by Paul Sugden, one of the owners of the Black Horse, The Brit and The Village.
"Paul is also a brewer, so if anyone can put together a decent selection it's him," enthuses Sam.
The event which is also being supported by Paul Haslam, president of the Amberley branch of the Royal British Legion and also current serving Royal Marine, Jamie Weaver.
Tickets (£7.50) can be purchased at the Black Horse, The Brit or The Village Inn in Nailsworth.
They are also available online via the facebook page and entry includes a commemorative pint glass with all proceeds going to the Royal British Legion.
The Black Horse Beer Festival takes place on September 7, from 12pm to close.
