Police are appealing for witnesses after a Stroud man was attacked on the Cirencester Road on the evening of Tuesday, August 6
A Stroud man has been attacked in broad daylight after thugs confronted him on the Cirencester Road in Minchinhampton yesterday.
Aidan Randle, 53, was accosted at 6.30pm after being asked for directions.
According to a post on Facebook, Val Roberts, a friend of Mr Randle's, said he was brutally "kicked to the ground" before his assailants "drove off in a car."
A photo that Ms Roberts posted up shows Mr Randle has been left with severe cuts to his face.
If anyone has any information, they are asked to contact the Police by calling 101.
