St Laurence's Church, Stroud holds a Taize service on the third Saturday of each month at 6pm.

The meditative-style service, held in candle-light is so-called after the French town from which it originated.

Simple chants, periods of silence and some readings replace the usual Church of England format.

In addition to the St Laurence service, Gloucester Cathedral is holding a special one-off Taize service around its decorative labyrinth on Wednesday, August 21 at 7.30pm.

St Laurence's Stroud, 52 High Street.
