DRAMATIC footage of firefighters tackling a car engulfed in flames has emerged. 

The car caught on fire on Minchinhampton Common on Thursday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the incident in Cirencester Road just after 3.30pm.

One crew from Stroud fire station attended the scene, where they put the fire out using two hose reels and two sets of breathing apparatus.

The car was 50 per cent damaged by the flames.

The cause of the fire is not believed to be suspicious and the fire crew left the scene at 4pm.
