A Cirencester man who attempted to steal a £500 mountain bike has been ordered to pay £6.98 in compensation.
Garry May, aged 35, of Upper Churnside, pleaded guilty to attempting to steal the bike at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on August 1.
The court head how May tried to steal the red Cannondale mountain bike on June 4.
May also pleaded guilty to stealing a bottle of £7 wine belonging to Co-Op in Cirencester on June 5.
He was ordered to pay compensation of £7, and pay costs of £105.
