A police helicopter was called out to track down a stolen vehicle spotted in Cirencester.
At around 3.30am yesterday morning, a car which was believed stolen, was spotted in Bristol Road, Cirencester.
Officers responded but the vehicle, a white Toyota Yaris, made off and failed to stop for them.
Cirencester residents reported that they were woken up at 4am by the helicopter circling around the town.
A number of resources, including a helicopter from the National Police Air Service were deployed but the vehicle was not located.
Anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour in the area or has any information about the theft or those involved is asked to call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 39 of August 20.
