TWO women who run a company in Chipping Sodbury welcomed more than 100 other businesswomen to a special event.

The Women in Business networking event took place at the Bristol and Bath Science Park.

The event was hosted by the Red Door Coaching and Training Ltd on behalf of South Gloucestershire Council.

Guests were treated to a number of talks from guest speakers, featuring a wide range of topics.

Chris Sivers, Director of Children, Adults and Health at SGC, opened the event and welcomed everyone to the’ vibrant, exciting and innovative’ county of South Gloucestershire.

Dr Zara Nanu from Gap Squared spoke about the gender pay gap and the work that her business is doing to highlight and positively affect this.

Nick Elston held the room with his accounts of living with and managing anxiety and the evening was rounded off by Peaches Golding who shared her business tips and some insights into the demanding role of being Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant.

Linda Banister, from Red Door Coaching and Training, said: “We were delighted with the success of the evening.

“All of our speakers were fabulous and very diverse, and we have had some great comments from those who managed to get a ticket.
