A COW was hit by a car on Minchinhampton Common last night.
It happened on the common past the Bear of Rodborough going towards Minchinhampton.
A police spokeswoman said: "At about 8.45pm yesterday, Wednesday, September 11, a member of the public reported a collision on Rodborough Common involving a black Ford Fiesta and a cow.
"The driver of the Fiesta was shaken but is not believed to have been physically injured.
"The cow walked away from the scene but was later identified.
"It is not known whether it suffered any injuries."
