A FEAST of performance is coming to Stroud this week as the town plays host to The Magnificent Seventh Stroud Theatre Festival.

The festival has steadily grown since it was founded seven years ago and this Friday, Saturday and Sunday it returns with 40 different shows in 10 venues and over 120 performances.

The programme showcases many different kinds of theatre, including children’s shows, stand up, storytelling and music, plus modern and historical dramas.

And it is set to include at least 15 premieres of new shows which Stroud audiences will be the first to see.

One of the aims of the festival is to make theatre accessible for all and for this reason all tickets are £6, with discounts available for children’s shows.

These can be purchased online via: stroudtheatrefestival.co.uk or at the Sub Rooms, Star Anise Cafe and the Museum in the Park.

There is also a Stroudie Special where you can book six shows for the price of five.
