FAMILIES came together in Stroud over the summer to learn how to communicate with their babies before they can speak.
TinyTalk teacher Claire Owen teaches a series of hand gestures along with the spoken words to accompany family routines such as feeding time, preparing for bed and going out to the park.
This powerful parenting tool makes learning language easier and enables babies to be understood more easily from as young as six months, bridging the gap before they have clear speech.
Claire said: βI started signing with my son because I was suffering from post natal anxiety and really wanted to understand my baby.
βIt helped us bond as we enjoyed singing together and playing the sensory games. I because a teacher because I saw how valuable enabling early communication was to a family.β
