A DEDICATED dinner lady has said goodbye to the school she has served for three decades.
Kath Withers, who started as a cleaner at Cam Woodfield Infant and Junior Schools 30 years ago, is now retiring.
Kath wasn’t at the school long before she became a dinner lady and caretaker too.
But after 30 years of helping to ensure lunchtime goes off without a hitch and that the school buildings are all in order, she is looking forward to a well-earned rest.
Kath was presented with gifts during a special assembly on Friday.
Head Louise Bennett said: “We will miss Kath’s presence and laughter and would like to thank her for her tireless commitment and support.”
Kath said: “It’s been a lovely job. The school is right on my doorstep and I enjoy seeing the children.”
