EDDIE Howe believes "dynamic" Arnaut Danjuma will be a "natural fit" in the Cherries side.

The Dutch winger could make his debut at Burton Albion this evening in the third round of the Carabao Cup (7.45pm).

A foot injury has sidelined the 22-year-old since his only Cherries appearance so far, a 3-0 friendly win over Lyon in early August.

But having returned to training last week, Danjuma is nearing his competitive bow.

Asked what Cherries fans can expect from the £13.7million summer signing, Howe told the Daily Echo: "He's a very dynamic player, very good in tight areas, he's got that physicality and that burst of pace that I think you're going to need in the Premier League, added with the technical ability.

"I'm very excited by what he can do for us now and in the future, but the most important thing is for him to just stay fit at the moment and just build his game time up slowly.

"I think he's a natural fit in terms of how we play. I don't think there's going to be too much time spent trying to adapt him to plays. I think he's ready in terms of his game.

"I think it's more the injury side, making sure that we don't lose him for any period of time by pushing him too hard.

"He's fitted well into the group, albeit in limited time because we haven't seen a great deal of him in training."

Whether the Netherlands international and former Club Brugge ace starts at Pirelli Stadium appears unlikely, with Howe keen to remain cautious over his return.

Asked if Danjuma could be involved against Burton, Howe said: "He's getting close. With his injury he's still one we've got to manage.

"We're not going to be able to just throw him in and expect him to play for long periods of time, so he's going to have to be a gentle introduction in terms of time spent on the pitch.

"We're very mindful of the fact we don't want to push him too hard or too far and then lose him, so we've got to try and get that process right."
