A SERIAL Stroud flasher has been jailed for persistently flouting the terms of a Sex Offender Order.

Stephen King, 32, of no fixed abode, appeared at Gloucester crown court today and admitted failing to comply with the terms of the order on a number of occasions.

Said prosecuting barrister Susan Cavender: “The defendant was put on the Sex Offenders Register for five years in 2016 and he failed to comply in January of 2018. He had other failures, including not reporting regularly to Stroud police. He has been sent to custody and released in July of this year.

“As he is of no fixed abode he is required to report regularly to the police but he has not done so.”

Defending barrister Guy Wyatt said: “My client has been street homeless for a year and the police know where he is – he is always around Stroud.

“He has a chaotic lifestyle and simply did not get round to it.”

King has been before the courts before for indecent exposure while sitting in a car in the Stroud area.

Said Recorder James Watson QC: “He has regularly failed to comply with the order.”

King was given a ten-weeks prison sentence.
