POLICE cordoned off a road in Stroud town centre this morning after a ‘suspicious suitcase’ was left in the car park of Lloyds Bank.
Officers descended on Rowcroft Retreat at around 11.15am with staff from Lloyds being evacuated from the building.
A Gloucestershire police spokesperson said: “The suitcase had a cable poking out which led to the call and officers attended and a cordon was put in place. However, an officer soon established that the case contained speakers and other non-suspicious items and the cordon was subsequently lifted."
