A Stroud masseuse has won two titles at the National Massage Championships.

Kate Browne, founder of Cotswold Mobile Massage, picked up the awards at the event in London last month.

Despite this being her first ever competition, Kate achieved first place in advanced massage and beat winners from other categories.

Entrants had to prepare a 60-minute treatment and were marked in a range of criteria including comfort, style and innovation.

Kate, who has now been granted entry to both the European and world championships, said: "I didn't really know what to expect. I wanted to do it to challenge myself.

"It's so special to win these titles as I've always strived to provide and promote high standards of massage therapy in our area, and share that even further through our brilliant team of hand picked therapists with Cotswold Mobile Massage.

"To have the recognition from industry experts and people I have aspired to, is truly incredible."
