CHERRIES are set to receive £250,000 from Aston Villa as a result of Tyrone Mings making his England debut last night, according to a report in the Telegraph.

Mings made a permanent switch to the Villans in the summer, in a deal the Daily Echo understands could reach £26.5million.

That includes an initial payment as well as performance-related add-ons.

And the Telegraph claims the first of those instalments is now due after Mings played in England's 6-0 win over Bulgaria in Sofia.

The report also states that Villa will pay a further £250,000 for each of Mings's first four games at international level.
