A road through Old Sodbury will be closed for resurfacing.

The A432 road which is the route cars take through Sodbury to get to the A46 for Bath or Stroud will be closed from November 4 until November 22.

The closure will be overnight and in place for two different sections of the road.

A post online from South Gloucestershire Council Streetcare said: "We are carrying out major resurfacing on Badminton Road, from the Cross Hands junction with the A46 to the junction with Hill Lane and a section between the junctions with Cotswold Lane and Chapel Lane.

"To carry out this work safely, we need to close these sections of road overnight between 8pm and 6am from 4 – 22 November.

"Access to properties will be maintained and we will do everything we can to minimise disruption for residents. A signed diversion will be in place.

"We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience while we carry out these essential improvements."
