WOTTON-under-Edge’s Town Hall Teas are coming to the end of another season of community fundraising.
This weekend is the last opportunity of the year to enjoy home-made cakes, and teas and coffees in the town hall, all in aid of a good cause.
Volunteers are busily baking this week and will be serving up a feast of gateaux of all kinds on Sunday afternoon, to raise funds for Stroud Women’s Refuge.
The charity tea sessions, which have been running for a quarter of a century this year, have raised thousands since they began, providing an essential boost for community groups in Wotton and the surrounding area.
Town Hall Teas are held every Sunday and every bank holiday Monday from the beginning of April until the start of November from 2.30pm-5pm and are run by a different community group at each session.
