Formula 1 driver legend Lewis Hamilton was 'spotted' in Nailsworth this morning.

The life-size cardboard cut-out was placed in the top window of Paddy Coyle's Nailsworth Computers shop in homage to Hamilton's sixth world drivers' title following his second place in the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas on Sunday.

Motorsport fan Paddy Coyle, manager of Nailsworth Computers shop, said: "Lewis is not much of a talker and is not going to sign autographs during his visit."

The British driver is now within one triumph of Michael Schumacher's all-time record. Hamilton has at least one more year to run on his £40million-a-year Mercedes deal, and has already committed to remaining in the sport beyond next season.
