POLICE have released CCTV images of a number of men they would like to speak to in connection with a burglary in Whitminster near Stroud.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire police said: "Police were called to a property on School Lane shortly after 7.35pm on Thursday October 24 following reports that homeowners had disturbed a group of men who had broken into their house.

"It is believed that five men with Irish accents gained entry to the property at some point between 6.50pm and 7.10pm before stealing a number of valuable items of jewellery from inside and leaving in a dark coloured car which was possibly a BMW.

"Anyone who recognises the men pictured or has information about the burglary is asked to call 101 quoting incident 382 of October 24.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire police said said: "Our anti-burglary campaign will be running until the New Year and we would encourage the public to look at installing a 'WIDE' combination of security devices as they can provide 49 times more protection against residential burglary with entry compared to having no devices installed.

A 'WIDE' combination includes; Window locks, Internal lights on sensors, Double or door deadbolts and External lights on sensors and more information on the campaign and ways to protect your home can be found by visiting: https://bit.ly/2KHsw7D
