An 18-year-old man has been cautioned after admitting spraying graffiti tags around Yate Shopping Centre in July.
When Avon and Somerset Police issued a CCTV appeal in August there had been around a dozen reports or graffiti, with the tags being mainly ‘Jeos’ or ‘Jeos34’
They had appeared on walls and street furniture in and around Yate Shopping Centre.
The man responsible has agreed to pay £75 and write a letter of apology to the centre manager as part of the conditional caution issued on November 20.
A spokeswoman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "Officers traced him through a public appeal for information and are grateful to everyone who came forward.
"A caution is an out of court disposal which is kept on record and can be disclosed to the court in the case of future offences, may be disclosable in a ‘disclosure and barring service’ check and can affect travel to some countries."
