When the last Cirencester Carnival was held in 1997, there were around 20 silver cups awarded for various activities and displays.
These were cups that had been part of the carnival history for decades including cups dating from 1948 when the band contest was introduced and others from even earlier from when the carnival started in 1897.
The carnival has long gone but the memory of those days lives on and these cups should be reunited and displayed as a permanent record or part of Ciren’s Social history.
The whereabouts of all but one cup is unknown today.
Where are they ?
