A knife point robbery took place at Zeera restaurant in Stroud on Sunday evening.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire police said: "Officers investigating a knifepoint robbery in Stroud on Sunday night are appealing for anyone with information about a white van sighted in the area to come forward.

"Shortly after 8.35pm on Sunday, police were called to an incident where a staff member at a restaurant on Gloucester Street had been threatened with a knife.

"It was reported that a man aged in his late 30s had taken a knife from inside the restaurant, threatened staff and then took £50 cash from the till.

"The offender, reported as being an Asian man wearing a blue jumper and jeans, fled in a white van which was parked on Bath Street.

"Investigating officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw this male, this vehicle or who has any information about the incident.

"Information can be submitted by calling 101 and quoting incident 382 of December 1."
