THE Cotswold Players are making a welcome return to the world of panto for their next production Babes in The Wood.

The show takes to the stage at the Cotswold Playhouse from January 16 for a couple of weeks of riotous fun and laughter for all the family.

Former BBC local radio presenter Mark Seaman is directing the show, having recently joined the troupe as a member.

Mark also wrote the panto and says he is thrilled to be working with the Cotswold Players.

He said: “The group have a fantastic reputation locally and always attract big houses to their shows, and it is great to have so many local youngsters involved with the panto alongside the group’s talented team of adult actors.”

Babes in the Wood is a panto favourite, transporting the audience to the magical world of Sherwood where the evil Sheriff of Nottingham is planning to do away with his niece and nephew.
