Nearly 1,500 daffodil bulbs have been planted at Thornbury's Castle School.
Twenty parents, friends, students and teachers braved the weather to plant the bulbs across the front of the school.
Thornbury in Bloom donated some of the bulbs free of charge while Almondsbury Garden Centre gave the Castle School Friends group a cut price deal on the rest.
CSF chair Sara Iles thanked everyone who took part and said: “It was fantastic to see such a lot of community spirit despite the rain.
“I can’t wait to see a huge splash of colour right across the front of the school next spring.”
