An online gift company is to hold a pop-up Christmas event at their Nailsworth warehouse.

Don't Buy Her Flowers, founded by mum of three Steph Douglas after she received eight bouquets following the birth of her first child, are holding the event at Nailsworth Mills Estate.

Although the company set up in her house in Richmond five years ago, Steph grew up in Stroud and is the daughter of former Nailsworth vicar Steve Earley.

She said: "I grew up here and love it, most of my family are here and two of my best friends from school had started working for us, so it makes sense to be based here.

"The business has grown month on month since we launched and we've just moved to a bigger warehouse which is both terrifying and exciting, but mostly exciting."

Speaking about what inspired her to set up the business Steph said: "It struck me as bonkers that the go-to gifts for a new mum is another thing to care for.

"So the business started out as gifts for new mums that were all about letting someone know they are loved, but since then has evolved to cover many other occasions.

"The main idea behind our packages has stayed the same - to encourage the recipient to take a bit of time for themselves."

Usually only available online, visitors will have the chance to browse gifts at the company's warehouse at Unit 17, Nailsworth Mills Estate, from 11am-2.30pm on Thursday.

There will be children's entertainment as well as tea and cake.

"As on online business, we'd love to see some customers face to face," said Steph.
