IT would be a great honour to serve Stroud, the Valleys and Vale.

I bring a wealth of experience from the private, charity and public sectors so I can hit the ground running to tackle the important issues that you face at home, together with pressing national matters.

I have a positive vision for the constituency and in relation to Brexit, I am clear that we need to honour the referendum result and leave the EU so the country can move forward.

I am unimpressed with politicians that sit on the fence or try to be all things to all people. I believe we need decisive leadership locally and nationally.

On a personal note, I am state school educated and from difficult beginnings, I rose to become a family law solicitor without attending university. After 17 years in law, I decided to explore working in policy and politics. I became head of policy for a charity that specialises in strengthening relationships and reducing parental conflict. I’ve also served as a councillor and a school governor. My background and professional career mean I have the skills and experience to fight to ensure that every child, adult, family, business, charity and community group here has every opportunity to thrive.

Since becoming your candidate, I have traversed the constituency getting to know more about what you want from your MP. I have campaigned on transport issues, including parking charges, roads and rail accessibility. I created a nationally praised further education campaign to achieve funding for SGS College and in only a few months, I have secured a commitment from Conservative ministers to work with local leaders and retailers to bid for funding for our high streets should our government be returned with a majority.

If I am lucky enough to become your MP, I will be able to see through these projects and more. I will have a constituency office and a home here. I will continue to knock on doors on a regular basis and make sure I am an accessible MP as well as your strong voice in Westminster. Most of all, I will listen. This is no ordinary election. We have had three years of Parliament being paralysed and people feeling fed up of politics.

People are looking for solutions to the big issues of the day. Many want to see a new approach to politics. As you can see from my background, attitude and work here already - I can offer both.
