A MAN was found with Class A drugs and a woman refused a breath test on Friday night.

However, police were pleased with the night's result after they carried out 155 breath tests in total which were all negative.

The woman was arrested in Stroud for refusing the test and she has been charged for failing to provide and is due in court on January 6.

Police searched the male driver and found a small supply of Class A and B drugs which were subsequently seized and released under investigation for attendance for VA.

17 Officers carried out the checks at locations in Stonehouse, Stroud and Thrupp.

In a joint statement, Sarah Inspector Blake and Special Chief Inspector Steve Lindsay said: “One of our police and crime commissioners' priorities is 'safe and social driving'.

"We work in partnership with Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service who have delivered some fantastic educational packages in relation to safe and social driving.

"This weekend in the Stroud District, the Neighbourhood Policing Team and Special Constabulary have conducted 155 breath tests and all provided negative results which is positive.

"Only one person refused to provide a test on the roadside and station, therefore has been charged with the offence of failing to provide and will be in court shortly."
