ONE little dog has big dreams for 2020 and is hoping the new year will see a new start for him.

Four-year-old shih tzu Tommy has now been in RSPCA care for a total of two years and two months.

He spent a year with Cotswolds Dogs and Cats Home in 2016 before being rehomed.

Sadly he arrived back at the centre in September 2018 and has now been patiently waiting for the right home for over a year.

Ebony Poole said: “Poor little Tommy finds its very difficult to trust new people so he needs someone with a lot of time and patience to work with him on this.

“When he came to us he’d had no socialisation with other dogs so he needs a new home where he’ll be the only pet.

“He’s a quirky little chap and can sometimes have ‘small dog syndrome’ but he’s a wonderful dog with a huge personality and bags of character.”

Tommy is looking for a quiet home with an experienced dog owner.

He needs to go to an adult-only household. He’s fully house trained and is happy being left home alone for short periods of time.

“Once Tommy gets to know you he has so much love to give and is desperate to please you,” Ebony said.

“He’s becoming more confident every day.”
