THE public will have the chance to voice their opinions on their preferred design for new proposals to the Nailsworth roundabout.

A feasibility study has been commisoned by Councillor Steve Robinson, and locals are invited to view the proposed changes to the roundabout on the A46 by the clock tower in the town centre.

Residents can have their say on the plans at Nailsworth library and tourist information office, where the plans can also be viewed.

Four design proposals have been put forward for changes to the roundabout which has long been a concern for residents.

Cllr Steve Robinson said: "Residents will know that I, as their longstanding councillor, aim to be approachable and to listen to them.

"It has been identified that when the road was resurfaced two years ago, the white lines were placed further back.

"There also needs to be a slightly raised hump in the middle to encourage vehicles to use it as a ‘roundabout’ but still allowing large vehicles to go over it while turning right."
