THE temporary loss of double yellow lines on Slad Road in Stroud is making the route 'dangerous' say residents.

Following resurfacing works on the road, which were completed on December 20, the lines have yet to be repainted.

Some residents have shared their concerns about the situation on social media.

One person commented: "People are parking everywhere and it’s driving me mad."

Another said: "Pulling out from opposite the fountain is so dangerous as you can’t see if anything is coming either way."

Dave Hicks, structural maintenance manager at Gloucestershire County Council said: “Following resurfacing work on Slad Road in Stroud, we have been unable to add road markings due to bad weather.

"We’re looking into dates to reschedule the work and in the meantime we advise people to park safely and considerately without obstructing the view of on-coming traffic.”
