CHALFORD Parish Council is introducing a new annual award to recognise and celebrate unsung heroes in the local community.
The Chalford Champions award is designed for those in the local community who work on a voluntary basis and drive forward activities and initiatives which benefit the wider community.
The council are looking for people who live in Chalford Parish that have gone the extra mile, made things happen for others or have done something out of the ordinary and have helped make Chalford a great place in which to live.
Anyone who lives in Chalford can nominate someone they know to be a champion.
A selection panel of community representatives and parish councillors will decide the winners based on the information provided on the nomination forms.
Nomination forms can be obtained from the Parish Centre or downloaded from the Parish Council’s website. Closing date for nominations is February 28.
