A STONEHOUSE man has denied threatening to kill a woman while allegedly brandishing a broken sword on Christmas Day last year.
At Cheltenham Magistrates Court today George Dirmauskas, 22, of Woodcock Lane in Stonehouse admitted a common assault on PC Cockle when he was arrested for the alleged offence.
But Dirmauskas pleaded not guilty to threatening to kill a woman on December 25 last year and having a broken sword in Woodcock Lane, a public place, with a ten inch blade.
The magistrates declined jurisdiction in the case and sent it to Gloucester Crown Court for trial.
Dirmauskas was released on conditional bail until the crown court hearing on February 20.
