A man who lives on a road named after a supersonic jet capable of travelling a twice the speed of sound has been caught speeding.
Shane Cassidy, 28, of Concorde Crescent, Fairford, committed the offence on the A419 in Wiltshire on June 12 last year.
He drove a BMW 330D at over 70mph, changing his plea to guilty before appearing at Swindon magistrates' court on Thursday.
While Cassidy would not have hit the 1,354mph Concorde was capable of, his misdemeanour earned him six points on his driving licence and fines and costs totalling £1,127.
