THE gas upgrade works which closed Bridge End Road and Gipsy Lane for weeks are now complete.
Since this morning, the road is now fully re-open to traffic in both directions.
Wales and West Utilities began working on the upgrade on January 6 and expected to be finished by the beginning of March.
During this time, Swindon Borough Council took the opportunity to make a few adjustments to a nearby roundabout.
Access to businesses like the BMW site and Dockle Farmhouse were kept open while the gas pipes were being upgraded.
A council spokesman said: "Wales and West Utilities has finished upgrading the gas pipes along Gipsy Lane and Bridge End Road, meaning that the road is now fully open again.
"While the road was closed, our highways team also improved the safety of the traffic island at New Inn roundabout."
