POLICE are calling for help to find a man who told his family he'd be working late – and then didn't come home.

Tom Thow, 28 and of Stourpaine, near Blandford, was last in contact with his family just after 6.30pm yesterday, Monday.

He said he was being delayed with work in Bournemouth.

He was reported missing at 11.44pm as he failed to return home.

Mr Thow is driving a silver Vauxhall Vivaro van with registration DY62 YWJ.

He is described as white, five feet 10 inches tall and of skinny build. He has dark hair and a dark beard and is wearing a T-shirt, sandy brown work-wear trousers with black pockets and work boots.

Chief Inspector Lindsay Dudfield, of Dorset Police, said: “It is very unusual that Tom has not returned home and we are unable to contact him. We are becoming very concerned for his welfare.

“We urgently need to find out what happened to Tom and I am hoping somebody might have seen him or the van since last night.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Tom’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police via dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting incident number 24:419.
