Supermarkets are still running low on essential items despite new restrictions being introduced in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
These photos, all taken at Tesco in Stroud this afternoon (Thursday, March 19) show the supermarket low on bread, milk, pasta and toilet paper.
Stocks of fresh fruit and vegetables, ready meals and alcohol have also been depleted, although to a lesser extent.
Yesterday Tesco introduced a purchase limit of three items on all their products.
At the time a Tesco spokesman said: “To help our customers get the things they need, we are introducing a purchase limit.. Our stock levels are good, and we have daily deliveries to replenish our stores. We would ask our customers to please shop as they normally would."
Tesco has also closed its deli and fish counters, while the supermarket is closing at 10pm each day - two hours earlier than normal.
Information about online delivery is available here.
