National rail infrastructure maintenance company, QTS Group, has pledged a £300 donation to help Malmesbury & District Foodbank.
The foodbank, which operates from the United Reformed Church on West Street, Malmesbury, helps local families and individuals every week, with the number requiring help expected to increase due to the current crisis.
Alan McLeish, managing director of QTS, said: “Everyone in society is being hit by this pandemic, but no more so than the most vulnerable in our communities.
“As a local employer and business, we wanted to be able to give something back to the community that could have an instant impact.
“The volume of individuals and families relying on foodbanks is only going to increase with the current situation, so we felt that making a monetary donation to The Malmesbury & District Foodbank would help to ease the pressure, even a little.”
The QTS Group has an office on Crudwell Road, Malmesbury.
