With many businesses forced to close or adapt rapidly, Gloucestershire Counselling Service is working with organisations and their staff to support their mental health.

GCS are now providing online and telephone support called the Workplace Wellbeing Service through the crisis period, enabling businesses and organisations to receive support at a time when they are likely to need it the very most.

The service is currently supporting organisations across the county, including Stroud District Council, Renishaw, Cheltenham Borough Council, South Gloucestershire and Stroud College and the Nelson Trust.

Helen Edmunds from South Gloucestershire and Stroud College said:“We do not fully understand or know the impact on our employees during these uncertain times, it is a great support to know that GCS will be there with remote counselling, if required.”

Louise Temple of the Nelson Trust added: “The provision of counselling through CGS’s Employee Wellbeing Service has been invaluable in supporting the wellbeing of our workforce, with noticeable benefits to individuals."
