AN ITALIAN restaurant in Nailsworth is offering free pizza and pasta to police and NHS staff.

Amalfi, on Market Street, is also offering free bread for anyone who is vulnerable and struggling financially.

Home delivery is available to customers in Stroud District.

And customers who collect take-away meals from the restaurant will receive a 25 per cent discount on their order.

"In order to try to keep at a safe distance we are suggesting that at collection if customers can pull up outside and call us then we will be happy to bring your orders outside to them," a spokesman for the restaurant said.

"For those who are stuck and cannot get out and need food delivering, we will be happy to deliver when possible.

"Our whole menu is available on our website and all dishes are available to take away.

"We hope that you all stay safe and look forward to being able to see you all dine with us when things are open again.

"A big thank you for all your support so far and please do continue to support us if you can."
