Sun seekers will be delighted to hear the weather forecast for the rest of the week and weekend is sun, sun, sun.

Tomorrow is set to see plenty of sunshine with temperatures hitting 20 degrees during the day, with moderate breeze through out the day in south Essex.

We’ve already enjoyed lots of sunny hot weather with crowds of families and residents flocking to parks and beaches, while others have been catching those rays at home in their gardens.

And this is set to continue with more summers weather expected on Thursday with the mercury hitting 19 degrees during the day, then on Friday we’ll see more sunshine with summer’s temperatures of 18 degrees.

The weekend is also looking good with long sunny days with temperatures hitting 21 degrees on Saturday and then even hotter with 22 degrees on Sunday.

Forecasters also say the summer’s weather will stay with us into next week, with more high temperatures.

On bank holiday Monday large crowds flocked to Southend’s popular seafront, with incredible drone footage proving day-trippers were observing social distancing.

Firm Air Fly Drone Solutions has been out getting aerial shots of the seafront as people came out to make the most of the sunny weather.

Despite concerns from residents about the safety of such big numbers coming to the seafront, the pictures show beachgoers spaced out.
