A deli and restaurant in Cirencester has released a two metre long sausage and bacon roll named The Back to Work Baguette as lockdown and Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
The Corn Hall Deli and restaurant MBB Brasserie have teamed up with Cam Butchers and Halls Bakery to come up with this giant lockdown lunch that can be initially shared by two thanks to its length.
The monster sarnie, which can be ordered for £20, was the brainchild of MBB and Kings Head Hotel executive chef – Ethan Rodgers.
He said: “We have been asked a lot since measures started to ease and we were able to do take away coffees about sandwiches and take away, this is a fun example of what we are doing here.
“The hospitality industry will be the last to re-open, with talk of July, so we have had to diversify.
“We are doing a grocery delivery service for the remote villages, my chef team are making ready meals and pastries that are available from the restaurant and deli every day.”
